Electric Distribution Designer 3

Location: Berlin, NH, United States; onsite field and design work

Starting rate of pay: $38.54 per hour

hirify.global operates and maintains an electrical distribution system serving residential and other customers.

What you will do

• Perform field and design work related to the construction, operation, and maintenance of the electric distribution system.
• Prepare designs, supporting documentation, and accurate cost estimates for residential services, relocations, upgrades, additions, and system changes.
• Coordinate distribution project information with internal departments and participate in weekly planning and scheduling meetings.
• Prepare documentation for GIS map updates and monitor project need dates.
• Respond to customer and contractor inquiries and provide timely follow-up.
• Participate in storm restoration and emergency restoration assignments, including work outside normal hours and location when required.

Requirements

• Associate degree in engineering, engineering technology, industrial electricity, or a similar program, or two years of combined education and related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent GED.
• Working knowledge of electrical and construction terminology, equipment, and procedures.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and company circuit maps, with effective written, oral, and computer skills.
• Knowledge of the National Electric Code and National Electric Safety Code as applicable to distribution systems, service installations, and customer requirements.
• Valid motor vehicle operator’s license and successful completion of the EEI Tech Test required.
