Hybrid Release of Information Specialist I - Lititz, PA

Location: Hybrid role in Lititz, Pennsylvania, USA; may be based at a client site, with remote work possible in some instances.

Salary: $20–$21 per hour

What you will do

• Process medical release-of-information requests accurately, efficiently, and on time.
• Enter and manage request data using hirify.global software applications.
• Organize medical records, documents, forms, and authorizations to complete the release process.
• Support the resolution of HIPAA-related release issues and maintain confidentiality of protected health information.
• Provide professional customer service in person, by phone, and by email according to location requirements.
• Attend required training and support the effective operation of the department.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college is preferred.
• At least 2 years of medical record experience and 2 years of clerical or office experience.
• Experience using desktop computers, scanners, general office equipment, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and maintain strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and state regulations related to releasing protected health information is preferred.

Nice to have

• RHIT certification.
• Experience in a healthcare setting.
