Staff Field Application Engineer (Robotics)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, US; on-site. Requires approximately 40% travel for short- to long-term assignments at customer and partner facilities across North America, with occasional travel to hirify.global HQ and other locations in Europe.

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 USD per year for the Massachusetts role.

What you will do

• Lead deployment, implementation, and solution integration of hirify.global robots at customer facilities.
• Plan and supervise short- and long-term Proof of Concept and pilot projects.
• Collect customer-site data, assess requirements, and coordinate acceptance testing and release delivery.
• Build and supervise laboratory test environments for reliability and performance testing.
• Lead product demonstrations for customers, investors, internal stakeholders, expos, and industry events.
• Use product data and customer feedback to improve performance, deployment efficiency, and go-to-market solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical qualification in mechanical, electrical, robotics, mechatronics, or a related engineering field.
• Experience leading projects involving robotic solutions, automation systems, concept or pilot projects, and deployment processes.
• Hands-on ability in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, assembly, maintenance, and technical problem-solving.
• Strong organizational and communication skills for coordinating with engineering, product, support, and customer teams.
• Ability to work independently, lead and coach others, and build relationships with senior customer stakeholders and operations staff.
• Willingness to travel approximately 40% across North America and occasionally to Europe.

Nice to have

• Experience in warehouse or logistics automation, industrial robotics, or hirify.global robot deployment.
• Familiarity with software integration, sensor-based automation, CAD modeling, 3D scanning, or digital twin technology.
• Experience with commissioning, acceptance testing, automation business cases, or complex operational environments.
• Ability to deliver engaging presentations and live demonstrations to diverse audiences.
