TL;DR
Senior Software Engineer (.NET) - HRIS (AI) (.NET/AI): Building scalable full-stack HRIS and enterprise software systems with an accent on AI agentic workflows, LLM automation, RAG, and Azure-based distributed systems. Focus on designing AI agents with context retrieval and human-in-the-loop workflows, deploying .NET microservices on AKS, and integrating Workday, identity services, data pipelines, and CI/CD infrastructure.
Location: Austin, Texas or Warren, Michigan, United States. Relocation benefits may be available.

What you will do
- Lead the design, development, testing, and maintenance of scalable full-stack solutions using .NET and Angular.
- Build AI-powered agents that retrieve context, reason across data sources, recommend actions, and support human-in-the-loop automation.
- Develop and deploy microservices on Azure Kubernetes Service and support hybrid on-premises and cloud environments.
- Design RESTful integrations with Workday, Microsoft identity services, Azure AD/Entra ID, and Microsoft Graph.
- Maintain Azure Synapse ETL pipelines, relational databases, background jobs, CI/CD workflows, and containerized services.
- Lead technical planning, code and design reviews, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and mentoring of junior engineers.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software development experience with .NET Core and 3+ years leading software engineering teams.
- Experience with AI/LLM applications, RAG architecture, embeddings, vector search, prompt design, LLM evaluation, and Model Context Protocol.
- Strong proficiency in Angular, microservices, REST APIs, Docker, AKS, Azure infrastructure, IaC, DevOps, and SRE practices.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, stored procedures, Git, GitHub Actions, Azure Synapse, Agile methodologies, Jira, and Confluence.
- Knowledge of HR and Workday business processes and enterprise identity integrations.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without current or future immigration sponsorship from GM.
Nice to have
- Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar AI orchestration frameworks.
- Knowledge of AI governance, model-risk management, hallucination mitigation, guardrails, evaluation metrics, and human approval workflows.
- Experience with Azure Databricks, Data Mesh architecture, monitoring, observability, Kubernetes, and .NET modernization.
