Manufacturing Technician (Spector)

Location: Onsite in Somerset, New Jersey, United States

Salary: $45,460–$57,582 per year, plus a bonus opportunity

What you will do

• Build and test complete subsystems, subassemblies, process equipment, tooling, fixtures, and devices.
• Read blueprints, schematics, mechanical drawings, process instructions, and diagrams to assemble complex units.
• Position, align, fasten, and connect parts, cables, tubes, and wiring using hand and power tools.
• Inspect, measure, adjust, and test completed units against specifications, tolerances, and customer requirements.
• Operate automated assembly equipment, robotics, fixed automation equipment, and small cranes.
• Troubleshoot operating errors, perform basic repairs, and carry out routine equipment maintenance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience building, testing, and troubleshooting complex electromechanical systems.
• Strong hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, grip strength, and ability to handle tools in confined or awkward positions.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and work overtime.
• Computer literacy in MS Word and Excel; familiarity with SAP or a similar ERP system.
• Strong communication, logical reasoning, and practical problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-vacuum semiconductor hardware and manufacturing practices.
• Hands-on experience with high-voltage and high-power systems and related safety practices.
• Cleanroom experience.
