Senior Maintenance Technician - PVD (D1 Shift Days)

Location: Essex Junction, United States; onsite cleanroom and fabrication facility

Salary: $48,200–$83,200 per year

What you will do

• Monitor, control, maintain, and qualify 200 mm semiconductor equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, react to equipment and factory-system errors, and recover from process and tool interruptions.
• Process wafers according to defined procedures and perform visual quality inspections.
• Identify improvement opportunities and optimize tool availability, cycle time, utilization, and cost.
• Complete reporting and documentation while following environmental, health, safety, and security procedures.
• Participate in continuous improvement, learning, and skills-development activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus relevant electrical or mechanical experience through a technical degree, military background, or six years of relevant work experience.
• English fluency in written and verbal communication is required.
• Basic reading, writing, computer navigation, Windows, Microsoft Office, and Outlook skills.
• Ability to work onsite in a cleanroom while wearing required semiconductor protective clothing.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, work 12-hour shifts, and lift equipment and tools; loads above 50 pounds require a two-person lift.
• Willingness to work alternating day or night shifts in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, preferably four or more years of direct experience.
• Ability to review statistical process control charts and troubleshoot out-of-control conditions.
• Experience reading schematics, blueprints, and electrical diagrams.
• Experience with hand tools, structured problem-solving, and electrical, mechanical, or pneumatic systems.
• Associate degree in engineering technology, military equivalent, trade qualification, or equivalent experience.
