Senior Equipment Engineering Technician (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Essex Junction, United States; onsite at the Fab 9 semiconductor manufacturing facility. Flexible availability for alternating 12-hour day or night shifts is required. Relocation assistance is offered to eligible candidates.

Salary: $48,200–$83,200 per year, depending on qualifications, experience, and location.

What you will do

• Monitor, sustain, and improve semiconductor manufacturing equipment and assigned processes.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to operating procedures.
• Monitor, control, and test equipment for manufacturing readiness.
• Recover equipment after process interruptions, document events, and complete shift pass-downs.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, computer, and software-related equipment issues.
• Coordinate with production team members, lead technicians, and area engineers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Electrical or mechanical experience through a technical degree and relevant experience, military experience, or six years of relevant experience.
• English fluency in written and verbal communication is required.
• Basic reading, writing, computer navigation, Windows, Microsoft Office, and Outlook skills.
• Ability to work onsite in a cleanroom environment and wear required cleanroom clothing and PPE.
• Ability to work alternating 12-hour day or night shifts and perform physically demanding maintenance work.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in engineering technology, military, or a trade.
• Four or more years of direct semiconductor manufacturing experience.
• Experience reviewing Statistical Process Control charts and responding to out-of-control conditions.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and electrical diagrams.
• Experience with structured troubleshooting, hand tools, continuous improvement, and project management.
