Solutions Architect - Sales (Healthcare)

Location: Remote in Canada; Toronto, Ontario

Salary: CAD 130,000–150,000 per year

What you will do

• Partner with strategic clients and the Sales team to understand business goals, technical needs, pain points, and roadmap alignment.
• Explain Smile’s healthcare data platform through exploratory conversations, presentations, demonstrations, architectural diagrams, and technical consultations.
• Create high-level architecture specifications and design documents, troubleshoot design issues, and present proposed solutions to the Architecture Review Board.
• Support customer scoping, sandbox environments, proofs of concept, proposals, RFPs, and RFIs.
• Design and support migration of customer systems and data to the Smile platform.
• Act as a technical liaison between customers, engineering, product, support, sales, and marketing teams.

Requirements

• 5–10+ years of experience in business development, technical sales, customer consulting, system design, or architecture.
• Required knowledge of HL7 FHIR and legacy healthcare integration standards and practices.
• Hands-on implementation and customer consulting experience, including identifying business challenges and taking projects from scoping through launch.
• Experience delivering complex technology systems to customers at scale, including architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to influence C-level and executive stakeholders.
• Experience with software development lifecycle practices, RFP response development, and supporting the growth of colleagues and new hires.
