Senior Scientist, Analytics & Metrology

What you will do

• Perform metrology measurements including film thickness analysis, defect analysis, SEM defect classification, and surface characterization.
• Support measurement requirements for experimental planning and execution.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in metrology and collaborate with Materials Solutions Engineers, Research Scientists, external laboratories, wafer suppliers, and global engineering teams.
• Evaluate and support process development for new cleanroom tools, including polishers, metrology equipment, and cleaning equipment.
• Identify opportunities to improve cleanroom and experimental efficiency while maintaining detailed experimental records.
• Share responsibility for the safety of shift coworkers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physics, Chemistry, or a related engineering field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a semiconductor fab environment.
• Required hands-on experience with defectivity metrology, such as SPx, SEM review, and defect classification.
• Familiarity with wafer metrology and thickness measurements, plus the ability to operate metrology tools and interpret results.
• Knowledge of CMP processes in Logic, Memory, and/or Advanced Packaging fabs.
• Strong communication, teamwork, independent working, project management, leadership, planning, organization, and attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, C++, and statistical analysis tools such as JMP, Minitab, or SAS.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Klarity.
