Senior Scientist (Semiconductor Photolithography)

What you will do

• Develop spin-on photolithography formulations and processes for advanced semiconductor manufacturing.
• Investigate structure-property relationships to accelerate material innovation and improve product performance.
• Lead new product development from concept validation through scale-up and commercialization.
• Collaborate with customers and cross-functional R&D, engineering, commercial, and external teams to evaluate materials and refine performance.
• Apply data-driven analysis to identify and resolve technical challenges, while managing project plans, milestones, and technical execution.
• Document technical results and develop intellectual property supporting technology leadership.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Proven safe laboratory practices and rigorous experimental methodology.
• Demonstrated technical achievements in research, product development, or materials innovation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work across global, multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Marlborough, Massachusetts; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• At least two years of post-Ph.D. industry or research experience.
• Experience with formulation design, advanced materials, semiconductor manufacturing, photolithography, photoresists, polymers, or related materials.
• Project leadership, customer-facing technical collaboration, or project management experience.
• Experience with Lean Innovation, stage-gate product development, intellectual property strategies, or patent portfolios.
