TL;DR

R&D Chemist (Advanced Electronics Materials): Developing optical, light-management, and adhesive materials for display applications in consumer electronics with an accent on polymer chemistry, formulation, and customer-driven material testing. Focus on designing experiments, analyzing patent landscapes and data, simulating in-line test results, and collaborating across engineering and manufacturing functions.

Location: Hsinchu City, Hsinchu County, Taiwan

What you will do

Develop next-generation optical and light-management materials for display applications in consumer electronics.
Explore adhesive platforms through patent landscape analysis, fundamental research, experiment design, data analysis, and result interpretation.
Develop methodologies to simulate customer in-line test results and issues.
Formulate products to solve customer technical challenges and communicate findings to customers.
Collaborate with Application, Quality, Scale-up Engineering, Manufacturing, and EHS functions to deliver new products.

Requirements

PhD or Master's degree in Polymer Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Materials Science required.
Experience with formulation development, design of experiments, and industrial research is valuable.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Fluent English and Mandarin required.
Ability to travel to the US and within Asia.

Nice to have

Experience with photosensitive or lithography-patterning materials for display applications.
Experience with low- or high-refractive-index inks or adhesives.
Experience with epoxy, silicone, acrylic, or polyurethane UV- or moisture-curing inks or adhesives.
