Associate General Counsel (SaaS)

Location: 100% remote within the United States; current and continued U.S. residency is required.

What you will do

• Advise senior leadership and cross-functional partners on commercial transactions, contractual obligations, compliance, and legal risk.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage SaaS, technology, licensing, vendor, customer, payment processing, data, confidentiality, and partnership agreements.
• Provide guidance on data privacy, data security, technology regulations, and the company’s global privacy program.
• Support M&A transactions, due diligence, corporate matters, customer disputes, collections, and outside counsel management.
• Develop templates, playbooks, contracting practices, and legal technology workflows to improve scalability and efficiency.
• Support the Chief Legal Officer & General Counsel on strategic initiatives and special projects.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the bar of at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 8–10+ years of progressively responsible legal experience, with significant in-house experience preferred.
• Experience in a SaaS, software, technology, or similarly complex business environment.
• Significant experience drafting and negotiating sophisticated commercial and technology transactions.
• Strong knowledge of SaaS agreements, software licensing, data privacy, data security, and technology-related legal matters.

• Experience supporting M&A transactions, corporate matters, litigation, or regulatory compliance.
• Combination of top-tier law firm and in-house technology or SaaS experience.
