AVP, Strategic Initiatives (Insurance)

Location: Warren, NJ or New York, NY, United States

Salary: $152,000–$190,000 annually for NJ, plus eligibility for the Annual Incentive Plan.

What you will do

• Lead and deliver strategic initiatives with cross-functional teams across product, underwriting, technology, operations, actuarial, and finance.
• Manage the full scope of strategic programs, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
• Provide transparent program status updates and communicate risks and progress to executive leadership.
• Collaborate with Business Architecture and IT teams on core application development and critical technology initiatives.
• Structure complex cross-functional problems, identify improvement opportunities using data and metrics, and optimize operational processes and organizational models.
• Manage strategic relationships and external vendors.

Requirements

• Experience leading complex strategic business programs in the property and casualty insurance industry.
• Insurance subject-matter expertise across multiple functional areas and lines of business.
• Strong interpersonal, influencing, communication, problem-solving, critical-thinking, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and Agile delivery.
• Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.
• Bachelor’s degree.
