What you will do

• Monitor and operate complex chemical manufacturing processes, equipment, facilities, and roll-good production machinery.
• Collect and analyze samples, perform product quality inspections, and verify that products meet requirements.
• Safely manufacture products, troubleshoot issues, and make corrections according to established procedures.
• Follow housekeeping, preventive maintenance, production schedules, and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with team members in problem-solving sessions, shift handovers, training events, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Complete required training and administrative tasks accurately and on time.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a technical associate or chemical operator certificate program during the internship.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Manual dexterity, mechanical aptitude, numerical and analytical skills, and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office, perform accurate data entry, and follow procedures with minimal supervision.
• Ability to safely operate manufacturing machinery, mobile equipment, hand tools, and testing or metrology devices.
• Ability to work onsite in Newark, Delaware, wear required protective equipment, handle chemicals safely, and perform physical work including standing, climbing, bending, lifting, and repetitive movements.

Nice to have

• Previous industrial experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or a related trade.
