Chemical Operator (Manufacturing)

Location: Kaohsiung City, Taiwan in the position header; the job description states that the role is based at the Burnet, TX facility. Onsite facility work is required.

Salary: $22.00–$25.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.

What you will do

• Weigh, add, and blend chemicals in mixing tanks while maintaining safety, quality, and production throughput.
• Fill canisters with chemical products and package finished goods for shipment.
• Collect chemistry samples and submit them to the analytical laboratory.
• Inspect finished products and maintain accurate records and data sheets.
• Operate PLC-controlled equipment, identify equipment problems, and troubleshoot production issues.
• Follow standard operating procedures, maintain a safe work environment, and recommend improvements while collaborating with leadership, engineering, the analytical lab, and logistics.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of technical, mechanical, or comparable work experience.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office; SAP and PLC experience are advantageous.
• Ability to work a 3-2-2 schedule on day or night shifts, work overtime as needed, and wear required PPE.
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs., push up to 130 lbs., and attain respirator certification.
• Familiarity with ISO 9000/14000 environments and a strong safety focus.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in chemistry, process operations, or another technical field.
• Experience handling hazardous chemicals.
• Semiconductor, manufacturing, or operations experience.
