Chemical Operator, Alternating Days/Nights, 12-Hour Shift/7-Day-Off Rotation

What you will do

• Operate pumps, valves, reaction vessels, and other production equipment safely.
• Transfer raw materials from storage containers to reaction vessels and maintain accurate material records.
• Follow written batch-production instructions and document temperatures, pressures, weights, lot numbers, and deviations.
• Sample in-process reactions and package finished goods for shipment.
• Perform minor routine maintenance and operate a forklift.
• Apply chemical-processing practices including vacuum and atmospheric distillation, washes, extractions, and filtrations.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; an associate degree in science with chemistry experience or 2–5 years of chemical-operator experience is preferred.
• Ability to work onsite in Riegelwood, NC, on a 24/7 alternating day-and-night schedule with 12-hour shifts and a 7-day-off rotation.
• Ability to wear a full-face respirator; facial hair must not interfere with respirator use.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and stand, walk, climb, and perform physically demanding duties.
• Valid driver’s license and basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and internet use.
• Basic algebra, multitasking, teamwork, accountability, and willingness to learn.
