Home Health Occupational Therapist (PPV)

Location: North Miami, Florida, United States

Salary: $85,400–$117,500 per year for full-time employment; the role is part time and scheduled for 1 hour per week.

What you will do

• Evaluate patients and help improve motor functions, reasoning abilities, and activities of daily living.
• Assist physicians with initial evaluations, assess service needs, and establish realistic treatment goals.
• Administer physician-prescribed treatment programs and train patients to use prosthetic devices and adaptive equipment.
• Instruct healthcare team members in therapeutic, creative, and self-care activities.
• Document services, participate in team meetings and case conferences, and support performance improvement activities.
• Monitor and supervise occupational therapist assistants while maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with HIPAA and agency policies.

Requirements

• Current occupational therapy license in the State of Florida required.
• CPR, OSHA, HIV/AIDS, HIPAA, Alzheimer's, Medical Errors, and Domestic Violence certificates.
• At least 1 year of professional or personal experience supporting individuals with disabilities, mental illnesses, or challenging behaviors.
• Valid in-state driver's license, current vehicle registration and insurance, and no more than 2 driving-record points in the past 3 years.
• Personal vehicle liability insurance with minimum limits of 100,000/300,000/100,000 required.
• TB screening is required for this patient-facing role.
