Plant Cost Analyst (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Execute monthly cost accounting activities for manufacturing plants, including production order variance analysis, inventory closing, and standard cost and outlook updates.
• Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances, summarize cost drivers, and provide insights for plant and operations decision-making.
• Prepare cost analysis covering unit cost trends, manufacturing efficiency, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Support inventory accounting through reconciliations, cycle count follow-up, variance investigations, and monitoring of slow-moving or aged inventory.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Procurement on cost-related inquiries and financial explanations.
• Improve cost accounting processes, data accuracy, reporting quality, and system efficiency while maintaining compliance with internal controls and finance policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Auditing, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of cost accounting or general ledger experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with standard cost, variance analysis, and manufacturing cost processes is strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with proficiency in Excel.
• Knowledge of SAP CO, FI, and MM is preferred.
• Good command of English in written and verbal communication is required. Strong communication, collaboration, prioritization, and problem-solving skills are also expected.
