Plant Controller

Location: Prescott, Ontario, Canada
Work schedule: Weekday, day shift

Salary: CAD 87,000–117,000 per year, plus results-based variable compensation.

What you will do

• Manage plant budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and month-end closing.
• Analyze manufacturing variances and support productivity savings against budget commitments.
• Prepare and maintain product cost standards and oversee cost accounting activities.
• Provide financial oversight for physical inventory counts and maintain accurate records of plant assets, liabilities, and transactions.
• Coordinate annual capital budgeting, financial justification, expenditure control, and objective analysis.
• Support corporate reporting requirements and internal and external audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; accounting is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing plant accounting and controlling.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, standard costing, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, inventory controls, and physical inventory processes.
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• CPA, CGMA, or CMA certification.
