Solar Service Department Supervisor (Solar Energy)

Location: Onsite daily in Pennsauken, New Jersey, United States

Salary: $75,010.97–$112,516.46 per year

What you will do

• Lead residential field service operations covering troubleshooting, repairs, warranty work, inspections, commissioning, and removal and reinstallation projects.
• Manage Field Supervisors, Service Technicians, and service crews while providing technical guidance and performance coaching.
• Plan technician schedules, geographic routing, workload balancing, materials, equipment, and daily responses to emergencies and weather changes.
• Partner with Service Center Case Managers to prioritize escalated issues, improve work-order quality, and drive rapid case resolution.
• Lead safety, quality, customer experience, and continuous-improvement initiatives across field operations.
• Monitor operational metrics including completion time, productivity, first-time fix rate, repeat truck rolls, customer satisfaction, safety, overtime, and warranty callbacks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of leadership experience in residential solar, electrical, roofing, construction, or field service operations.
• Experience leading multiple field technicians or service crews and managing scheduling, productivity, and field execution.
• Strong knowledge of residential solar PV systems, battery storage, inverters, monitoring platforms, electrical troubleshooting, and roof leak investigations.
• Strong leadership, coaching, organizational, problem-solving, and performance-management skills.
• Experience with CRM, field service management, and scheduling software.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record; bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience.

Nice to have

• NABCEP certification.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Experience with Enphase, SolarEdge, Tesla, FranklinWH, or Generac systems.
• Experience managing warranty and removal and reinstallation operations across multiple states or markets.
