Production Lead Operator IV (Manufacturing)

Location: Bedford, Massachusetts, United States; onsite manufacturing facility. Schedule: Saturday, Sunday, and one weekday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Salary: $27–$31 per hour, commensurate with experience; eligible for an incentive bonus program.

What you will do

• Assist the Production Manager or Supervisor with production requirements, workflow scheduling, employee assignments, breaks, and delegated work.
• Expedite priority jobs, monitor production goals in SAP or another ERP system, and review work orders for accurate times, material usage, and part counts.
• Perform equipment setup, teardown, operation, product testing, inspection, and completion of operator checklists.
• Work with planning, materials, quality, and engineering teams to resolve manufacturing, delivery, and process issues and support new products or processes.
• Train and cross-train employees, support shift meetings, provide performance input, and address performance issues.
• Drive safety, quality, waste reduction, 6S, Kaizen, Gemba walks, JSA audits, and other continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Five years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read documented processes and procedures, understand simple written instructions, perform basic math, and enter computer data.
• Ability to use measuring devices and hand tools and perform equipment operation, testing, and inspection tasks.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift, move around the facility, use hands repetitively, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to regularly lift or move up to 30 pounds and lift up to 50 pounds as required.
