GA Production Team Lead (Second shift) (EV)

Location: Garden Grove, California, United States; onsite, second shift

Salary: $31–$34 USD per hour

What you will do

• Direct daily activities for a designated general assembly zone, set SQDC goals, and provide feedback.
• Manage staffing and workstation coverage, escalate headcount gaps, and support build operations when needed.
• Coach team members, identify training needs, and support professional development.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement continuous improvement actions.
• Lead start-of-shift huddles covering output, goals, safety issues, and 5S.
• Apply production fundamentals including takt time, cycle time, downtime tracking, waste elimination, and safety and quality escalation protocols.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience at an OEM or Tier-1 automotive supplier.
• Direct experience with shop-floor operations, assembly lines, and supplier management.
• Experience directing, training, and evaluating assembly or engineering teams.
• At least 1 year of leadership, team lead, or supervisory experience.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in general assembly or a related field.
• Electric vehicle experience.
• Strong understanding of vehicle assembly and the ability to learn and train teams across multiple build stations and cells.
• Documented strong performance and positive peer feedback.
