Engineering Technician V (Electromechanical)

What you will do

• Design, test, fabricate, modify, troubleshoot, and assemble complex electronic and electromechanical systems, prototypes, test equipment, tools, and fixtures.
• Diagnose system-level and component-level electrical and mechanical problems independently.
• Perform new system and NPI installations, field upgrades, and mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing.
• Investigate issues with limited or no documentation, compile data, and recommend product or manufacturing improvements.
• Write technical reports, test procedures, logbooks, and other engineering documentation.
• Train lower-level Engineering Technicians and collaborate with Engineering on procedures, documentation, quality, and resource planning.

Requirements

• Comprehensive understanding of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within the relevant technical discipline.
• In-depth understanding of coordination between engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across electrical and mechanical subsystems.
• Excellent written, interpersonal, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding manufacturing and cleanroom environment, including standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, lifting, and working in tight spaces.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and wear required personal protective equipment, including cleanroom and respiratory protection.
