Finance Systems Manager (Workday)

Location: On-site presence required in Grand Rapids, MI; Chicago, IL; Naperville, IL; Schaumburg, IL; Boston, MA; or New York, NY.

Salary: $131,100–$170,500 base compensation annually.

What you will do

• Lead Workday implementation projects from inception through completion.
• Oversee integrations between Workday financial modules and enterprise systems.
• Assess business needs and recommend scalable finance system solutions.
• Drive accounting and finance system conversions, particularly in Workday.
• Define and optimize the structure and presentation of financial information.
• Coordinate with operations, IT, accounting, and finance teams while mentoring junior team members.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Workday financial modules, including configuration, customization, and integration.
• At least 5 years of professional work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Workday Financial Management or related certification.
• Understanding of general ledger structures and basic accounting principles.
• Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders and delivering project-based finance systems work.

Nice to have

• Workday consulting or transformation experience.
• Experience with finance system migrations or post-merger integrations.
• Workday Financials or Workday Integration certification.
• Experience with financial services or insurance accounting.
