Technical Workday Architect (Workday)

Location: Jersey City, New Jersey, United States

Salary: $100,000–$145,000 base salary per year plus annual bonus target

What you will do

• Design Workday integration solutions across Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Absence, Recruiting, Talent, and Payroll.
• Translate HR business requirements into scalable integrations and technical design documentation.
• Develop and support inbound and outbound integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, REST/SOAP web services, BIRT, XML, and XSLT.
• Manage the integration lifecycle from requirements and mapping through testing, deployment, and post-production support.
• Troubleshoot integration failures, optimize performance, and oversee vendor integrations.
• Lead workshops, release management, regression testing, stakeholder updates, and mentoring for junior analysts and integration developers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Workday HCM integration experience, preferably with Studio, EIB, and APIs.
• Experience supporting or leading full-lifecycle Workday implementations or major tenant refreshes.
• Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments.
• Strong understanding of data governance, access governance, audit readiness, and security best practices.
• Experience with secure authentication protocols, including SFTP, OAuth, certificates, and API security.
