Mechanical Technician I - 2nd Shift

Location: San Luis Obispo, California, United States; onsite, 2nd shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Salary: $23–$25 per hour, depending on overall skills and experience.

What you will do

• Assemble mechanical, electrical subassemblies, and Ultra High Purity Systems using drawings, schematics, piping and instrumentation diagrams, illustrations, and process documentation.
• Build subassemblies under supervision and install brackets, piping insulation, cables, and conduit during cabinet preparation.
• Learn customer-specific configurations and engineering specifications from Customer Data Sheets.
• Perform routine assembly operations while meeting quality, accuracy, and on-time shipment requirements.
• Use measuring techniques and tools correctly, follow work instructions, and complete 6S responsibilities.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and collaborate with the team while working independently when needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of mechanical assembly or relevant experience.
• Ability to learn an operating system and locate bills of materials, drawings, and instructions.
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds daily, climb ladders, and remain on your feet for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
• Dependability and flexibility to work overtime and weekends when required.
