Engineering Technician III (Electro-Mechanical)

Location: Austin, TX; onsite, 2nd shift

Salary: $25.00–$34.70 per hour

What you will do

• Design, test, check out, fabricate, modify, troubleshoot, and assemble electronic and electromechanical systems, circuitry, prototypes, specialized test equipment, tools, and fixtures.
• Test and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems and subsystems at both system and component level.
• Perform new system and NPI installations, field upgrades, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing.
• Use schematics, diagrams, layouts, plans, and technical descriptions to complete testing and troubleshooting.
• Compile logbooks and test procedure documentation, support procedure updates, and generate Quality Notifications.
• Perform rework and help identify remedies for equipment malfunctions while following safety and clean-room requirements.

Requirements

• Proficiency in a range of analytical processes and procedures for assigned technical work.
• Experience troubleshooting and testing electrical and mechanical systems using schematics and technical documentation.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and operate heavy machinery, including forklifts.
• Ability to work onsite in Austin, TX and on a physically demanding schedule involving extended standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, lifting, and working in tight spaces.
• Ability to work in clean-room environments and use required personal protective equipment.
• Ability to distinguish colors and work in environments with potentially difficult noise levels.
