Product Manager, Cyber Security

Location: San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY; hybrid policy requires staff to work from an office at least 25% of the time

What you will do

• Set the cybersecurity product portfolio strategy and own business results.
• Ship vulnerability discovery, remediation, and broader cybersecurity capabilities across Claude and future first-party products.
• Represent Anthropic with CISOs, security vendors, researchers, governments, and the press.
• Partner with research to identify model limitations in security tasks and define improvement plans.
• Work with safeguards and policy on cybersecurity model access.
• Coordinate initiatives across research, engineering, sales, safeguards, policy, legal, and communications.

Requirements

• Meaningful experience in application security, detection and response, vulnerability research, offensive security, security products, or security leadership.
• Experience building products or businesses from scratch and taking them to paying customers.
• Strong product judgment and sufficient technical depth to assess whether security findings are real.
• Ability to design products around evolving model capabilities and define reliability targets.
• Strong communication skills with CISOs, researchers, and executives.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or relevant experience.

Nice to have

• 12+ years of experience building and shipping products, particularly in cybersecurity.
• Fluency with AI products, evaluations, and model behavior as part of the product surface.
• Technical background or experience working with infrastructure and platform teams.
• Strong technical judgment in cybersecurity and infrastructure topics.
• Experience breaking down complex compliance requirements into shippable features.
