Product Manager (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid role based in New York City, NY or San Francisco, California; preferred location is the San Francisco Bay Area or New York City. Up to 15% travel required.

Base salary: $194,000–$260,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Own the vision, strategy, roadmap, financial performance, pricing, packaging, and monetization of NodeZero’s compliance and reporting capabilities.
• Build the compliance and reporting business plan, define success metrics, and lead reviews covering revenue, pipeline, adoption, retention, and audit outcomes.
• Partner with customers, CISOs, auditors, compliance advisors, Legal, and Engineering to map NodeZero findings and penetration testing results to compliance controls.
• Own framework coverage across SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, NIST CSF/800-53, FedRAMP, and CMMC, keeping mappings current as frameworks evolve.
• Lead the design of engagement reports, executive summaries, and audit-ready evidence packages for SOC analysts, auditors, boards, and CISOs.
• Partner with GTM, Marketing, Enablement, Customer Success, Sales, and Finance to drive compliance-led adoption, renewals, expansion, and product differentiation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technology-related field.
• 5+ years of startup product management experience with technical B2B products.
• 3+ years working with compliance or GRC frameworks, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, NIST, or FedRAMP, as a product manager, auditor, compliance-facing engineer, or consultant.
• Experience building reporting or evidence-generation products for security, audit, or regulated industries.
• Technical aptitude to work with penetration testing and security findings and translate them into audit-ready language.
• Advanced data analysis skills using tools such as Excel, SQL, BI, and ideally Python.
• Ability to use modern tools such as ChatGPT and Claude to write documents and emails quickly and concisely.
• Bias toward action, a growth mindset, executive presence, and strong verbal communication skills.
