What you will do
- Work directly with customers to define performance metrics for AI agent deployments and operationalize trusted measurement systems.
- Own performance reporting and improve the metrics that matter most for each account.
- Diagnose performance drivers, design experiments, and drive changes that improve customer outcomes.
- Build product features, tools, and frameworks that help Decagon teams evaluate deployments independently.
- Define success metrics for new product initiatives and measurement problems without established precedents.
- Provide feedback to Product, Engineering, and Research to shape the product roadmap.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or another quantitative role, driving analyses end to end.
- Strong judgment in interpreting metrics, evaluating edge cases, and prioritizing the most important analysis.
- Ability to work independently in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and define approaches without established answers.
- Ability to align stakeholders with different priorities and levels of technical depth around a shared definition of success.
- Strong technical fundamentals, including fluency in SQL and Python.
- Comfort working with large volumes of messy, unstructured conversational data.
Nice to have
- Experience building internal tooling that achieved meaningful adoption.
- Experience working on production AI products, evaluating LLM or agent behavior, and building evaluations.
