Data Scientist (AI)

Location: Remote (US)

Salary: $180,000–$240,000 per year, plus equity.

hirify.global provides an AI routing and infrastructure layer for accessing, managing, and optimizing large language models across providers.

What you will do

• Build and improve rules, heuristics, and models for model and provider routing.
• Create analytics products and perform deep-dive analyses that help users understand usage, diagnose issues, and optimize workflows.
• Design and ship user-facing data features, including task-type classification taxonomies and model performance rankings.
• Define and track product metrics such as feature adoption, user engagement, and platform health.
• Contribute to the data warehouse using dbt and ClickHouse.
• Partner with engineering and product teams to turn insights into customer-facing features and roadmap decisions.

Requirements

• 4+ years of relevant experience in data science, applied machine learning, or quantitative product roles.
• Experience shipping production-level data products, models, algorithms, classifiers, scoring systems, or automated processes.
• Strong SQL skills with large-scale analytical databases such as ClickHouse or BigQuery.
• Proficiency in Python or a similar scripting language for prototyping models, simulations, and data pipelines.
• Strong statistical and mathematical foundations, including distributions, causal inference, and experimental design.
• Deep familiarity with AI, LLMs, agents, model evaluation, prompt engineering, and the agentic ecosystem.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLM evaluation, benchmarking, human-in-the-loop assessment, and safety or quality guardrails.
• Experience with developer platforms, APIs, SDKs, or usage-based products.
• NLP or machine learning engineering experience with classifiers, embeddings, or ranking models.
• TypeScript experience for contributing to routing, API, or frontend code.
