Senior Hospital Contracting Strategist

Location: Remote Florida, United States; working hours are 8am–5pm EST, with occasional travel to hirify.global offices for training or meetings.

Salary: $78,400–$107,800 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Lead negotiations for hospital and health system agreements, including reimbursement, contract terms, amendments, renewals, and value-based agreements.
• Evaluate reimbursement methodologies such as DRG, PD, case rates, POC, outpatient fee schedules, and alternative payment arrangements.
• Analyze and communicate the financial impact of contract terms, payment structures, and reimbursement rates to providers.
• Partner with Finance, Medical Economics, Legal, Network Management, Claims, Configuration, and Operations to ensure contracts are financially sound and operationally executable.
• Maintain contracts and documentation in a tracking system and support provider recruitment based on network needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 5 years of hospital negotiation experience in Medicare.
• At least 5 years of progressive network management experience, including hospital contracting and network administration in a healthcare company.
• Experience negotiating managed care contracts with hospital systems, post-acute providers, ancillary providers, and physicians.
• Ability to interpret hospital contract language and analyze, understand, and communicate financial impacts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Experience with ACO/risk contracting.
• Experience with value-based contracting.
