Senior Corporate Counsel Lead (AI)

What you will do

• Serve as a subject-matter expert on global AI legal and regulatory matters.
• Advise business stakeholders on evolving AI laws, regulations, regulatory policy, and compliance expectations.
• Develop sustainable AI policies, governance frameworks, controls, and trust-related documentation.
• Lead gap assessments, regulatory responses, and risk mitigation strategies for AI products and partnerships.
• Advise on AI-related terms in client and vendor contracts and on publications from Marketing and Communications.
• Provide AI regulatory training and manage outside counsel relationships.

Requirements

• J.D. with active membership in at least one state bar, or admission to practice in the UK or EU.
• 8–12 years of relevant post-qualification legal experience.
• Deep experience with global AI laws and regulations, including the EU AI Act and U.S. state AI regulations.
• Knowledge of related legal areas such as financial services regulation, intellectual property, or data privacy.
• Strong communication, research, writing, analytical, judgment, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience managing complex projects in a fast-paced, diversified global organization.

Nice to have

• Cyber legal experience.
• Familiarity with AI governance and risk-management frameworks, including the NIST AI Risk Management Framework.
