Corporate Counsel (AI)

Location: Hybrid work from Washington D.C., Boston, or the Bay Area, with two work-from-home days per week

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate customer, vendor, and partnership agreements.
• Advise product, engineering, and commercial teams on legal risks and business decisions.
• Support product, data usage, privacy, intellectual property, and AI governance matters.
• Track relevant regulatory frameworks, including data privacy, AI governance, and energy-sector rules.
• Assist with corporate governance, entity management, and internal policies.
• Build legal templates, playbooks, and processes that improve contracting speed and consistency.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree and active bar membership in at least one jurisdiction.
• At least 3 years of legal experience in a law firm or in-house environment.
• Strong foundation in commercial contracts and general corporate matters.
• Experience working cross-functionally with business and technical teams.
• Ability to balance legal risk with practical business outcomes.

Nice to have

• Experience with technology, AI/ML, or infrastructure-related companies.
• Familiarity with data privacy frameworks such as GDPR and CCPA.
• Exposure to regulated industries, including energy.
