Cloud DevOps Engineer (AWS/Azure)

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable, resilient cloud engineering solutions for infrastructure and application services across AWS, Azure, and Azure DevOps on-premises.
• Implement, maintain, and improve CI/CD capabilities, pipelines, infrastructure automation, and infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• Architect and implement cloud-native and on-premise solutions, including deployment, orchestration, and automation tooling.
• Support SRE activities and solution uptime by ensuring resilience, availability, health, performance, security, and efficiency.
• Design and automate disaster recovery procedures for hirify.global Cloud products and take end-to-end ownership of assigned modules.
• Review code, contribute to design discussions, drive adoption of relevant technologies, and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another STEM-related program.
• 5+ years of relevant IT experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on DevOps engineering experience automating solutions.
• Good understanding of database concepts, data modeling, and storage.
• Strong technical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-group collaboration skills; self-motivated and able to work with internal resources and vendors.
• Experience with Agile methods such as Scrum/XP, Business Driven Development, and Continuous Delivery.
• Experience with AWS Core Services: CloudFormation, EC2, ECS/Docker, ELB, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, Lambda, and IAM.
• High proficiency in at least one scripting language: PowerShell or Python.
• Experience setting up and troubleshooting AWS/Azure production environments and designing, building, testing, and deploying highly scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure.
• Expertise in at least one technology domain and working knowledge of API, Events, Security, Integration, Infrastructure, Data, and AI/ML domains.
• Experience with deployment and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenStack, Puppet, Chef, Salt, Ansible, and Jenkins.
• Full-stack architecture design experience with multi-tier systems and services for large enterprises, focused on application-layer design and infrastructure services.
• Advanced hands-on skills with Linux and Windows, plus knowledge of application architecture, networking, security, reliability, scalability, software design principles, and patterns.

Nice to have

• Certifications in cloud architecture, including Oracle Cloud, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Azure, Google Cloud, or AWS.
• Software design and development experience with a high-level programming language such as C#.
• Understanding of data structures and algorithms, SOLID principles, and software design patterns.
• Experience writing unit, integration, and performance test automation scripts.
