What you will do

• Own the design, scalability, and reliability of build pipelines across multiple services and platforms.
• Optimize build times and test coverage to ensure fast and reliable developer feedback cycles.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes for CI systems to minimize downtime.
• Lead initiatives to improve productivity through tooling, automation, and best practices.
• Drive the strategic vision for continuous integration and developer productivity infrastructure.
• Mentor other CI engineers and collaborate with leadership to align systems with platform goals.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading engineering efforts in CI, build systems, or developer productivity.
• Strong expertise with modern build systems such as GitHub, Buildkite, Artifactory, or Bazel.
• Proficiency with cloud-native environments (AWS, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code.
• Solid programming background in Python, Kotlin, Java, or similar languages.
• Must be based in Canada.
• Experience managing build systems and frameworks for large monorepos.

Nice to have

• Preferred experience with Bazel.
• Active contributions to open source projects.
• Previous experience with large-scale software development at a leading tech company.
