What you will do
- Own the design, scalability, and reliability of build pipelines across multiple services and platforms.
- Optimize build times and test coverage to ensure fast and reliable developer feedback cycles.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes for CI systems to minimize downtime.
- Lead initiatives to improve productivity through tooling, automation, and best practices.
- Drive the strategic vision for continuous integration and developer productivity infrastructure.
- Mentor other CI engineers and collaborate with leadership to align systems with platform goals.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading engineering efforts in CI, build systems, or developer productivity.
- Strong expertise with modern build systems such as GitHub, Buildkite, Artifactory, or Bazel.
- Proficiency with cloud-native environments (AWS, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code.
- Solid programming background in Python, Kotlin, Java, or similar languages.
- Must be based in Canada.
- Experience managing build systems and frameworks for large monorepos.
Nice to have
- Preferred experience with Bazel.
- Active contributions to open source projects.
- Previous experience with large-scale software development at a leading tech company.
