Staff Software Engineer (Continuous Integration)

Location: Remote within Canada. The role is remote-first, with occasional in-person work possible and an in-person onboarding experience for new hires.

Base pay: $181,000–$241,000 per year in Canada.

What you will do

• Own the design, scalability, and reliability of build and continuous integration pipelines across multiple services and platforms.
• Optimize build times, test coverage, reporting, and developer feedback cycles.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes for CI systems.
• Improve deployment workflows, developer tooling, automation, and engineering best practices across the organization.
• Drive the vision for continuous integration and developer productivity infrastructure.
• Lead and mentor CI engineers while partnering with engineering leadership on platform goals.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading engineering efforts in CI, build systems, or developer productivity.
• Strong experience with modern build systems such as GitHub, Buildkite, and Artifactory.
• Experience with cloud-native environments, including AWS and Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Kotlin, Java, or a similar language.
• Experience managing build systems and frameworks for large monorepos.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
