Founding Operator (Biotech)

hirify.global is building an automated lab that enables AI agents to run biology experiments, combining software, hardware, laboratory automation, data pipelines, and AI systems.

What you will do

• Take the London site from lease through fit-out to an operational automated biology lab, managing contractors, equipment, suppliers, permits, timelines, and budget.
• Hire and build the founding UK team across lab operations, automation, and science.
• Establish and run hirify.global UK, including banking, accounting, payroll, insurance, budgeting, contracts, and operational infrastructure.
• Own the local customer experience from onboarding through experiment delivery in coordination with commercial and scientific teams in Lausanne.
• Develop relationships with landlords, contractors, vendors, universities, biotechs, partners, and the London life-sciences ecosystem.

Requirements

• Previous experience building something from zero, ideally a new site, geography, business unit, or physical operation.
• Exceptional generalist capabilities across property, finance, legal, hiring, customer experience, and operations.
• Strong execution, negotiation, decision-making, follow-up, and ownership skills.
• Strong life-sciences background through a degree and/or professional experience.
• Comfort using AI tools to work faster and improve operational execution.
• Already based in London or ready to move; the role requires hands-on, on-site work.

• Experience in labs, clinics, manufacturing, hardware, or other infrastructure-heavy businesses.
