What you will do

• Lead RF electronic architecture for modular sensors and effectors used in man-portable, vehicle-mounted, and fixed-site configurations.
• Design schematics and PCBs using Altium and contribute to component databases and documentation templates.
• Plan and execute hardware validation at both modular and system levels.
• Design and support manufacturing test specifications, production setup, and debugging.
• Use RF and high-speed digital test equipment to validate interfaces and troubleshoot hardware issues.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote sound documentation and quality-control practices.

Requirements

• Degree in Electronics Engineering, a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 15 years of experience in RF hardware design, testing, and production support.
• Expertise with VNA equipment, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and RF/high-speed digital interface validation.
• Significant experience with schematic and PCB design using Altium, including high-speed digital and RF layout techniques.
• Strong knowledge of communications theory, link budgets, receiver sensitivity, cascaded noise figure, dynamic range, noise floor degradation, matching networks, isolation, and filters.
• Experience with high-power RF amplifiers, linearization, battery-powered devices, antennas, and applicable radio standards.

Nice to have

• Experience architecting transmitter RF front ends up to 12 GHz and 100 W, and receiver RF front ends up to 10 GHz.
• Experience with integrated antennas, RF filters, diplexers, splitters, LNAs, power amplifiers, switches, dividers, combiners, and couplers.
• Software Defined Radio design experience and knowledge of mainstream RF modulation and multi-carrier combining.
• Experience leading company projects or initiatives and applying heat-management principles to RF power amplifiers.
