People Relations Specialist

Location: New York, NY; hybrid work

Salary: $75,000–$120,000 per year, plus potential restricted stock units, sign-on bonus, and other incentives.

What you will do

• Lead People Relations cases from intake and investigation strategy through interviews, reporting, outcome ownership, and case closeout.
• Partner with Employment Counsel, People Partners, business leaders, and other stakeholders on risk assessment, disciplinary actions, and remediation.
• Support complex discussions involving performance, team dynamics, culture, and workplace concerns.
• Develop People Relations programs, training sessions, policies, and best practices.
• Use employee relations data to identify trends and advise decision-making.
• Contribute to HR, compliance, and internal or external audit projects.

Requirements

• 3+ years of employee relations experience in an Employee Relations Specialist, HR Business Partner, or equivalent role.
• Knowledge of US and UK employment laws is required.
• Experience conducting workplace concern intake meetings, investigations, and conflict resolution.
• Experience developing Employee Relations processes and best practices.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, training, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build trust, navigate nuanced situations, work independently, stay organized, and occasionally travel.

Nice to have

• Background in other international employment jurisdictions.
• Experience in the technology sector or with sales organizations.
