Storage Engineer (NetApp)

Location: Hybrid, based in Erskine, Scotland or onsite in Preston, United Kingdom. The role requires eligibility for UK Government and contractual personnel security requirements, applicable residency requirements, and the right to work in the United Kingdom.

What you will do

• Design and implement enterprise storage solutions using NetApp technologies.
• Deliver storage infrastructure projects, including migrations, upgrades, technology refreshes, and transformation initiatives.
• Configure and deploy scalable, resilient, and high-performance NetApp environments.
• Implement storage replication, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Collaborate with server, virtualization, network, and cloud teams on integrated infrastructure solutions.
• Produce technical designs, implementation plans, project documentation, and handover materials while supporting testing and transition.

Requirements

• Proven experience delivering enterprise storage infrastructure projects.
• Strong hands-on experience with NetApp storage technologies and enterprise-scale storage environments.
• Strong understanding of storage networking and related protocols.
• Experience with storage migrations, upgrades, technology refresh programmes, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies, including VMware vSphere.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
