System Engineer, Enterprise (UK) (Enterprise Storage)

What you will do

• Design, architect, and deploy secure, simplified, and sustainable data foundations for government entities and enterprise clients.
• Connect Pure Storage and ecosystem technologies to measurable customer business outcomes.
• Partner with account managers, specialists, and channel partners to develop sales strategies and drive new business.
• Lead technical evaluations, benchmarks, system configurations, interoperability testing, and validation.
• Build and deliver technical product and architecture presentations and author RFI, RFP, and RFQ responses.
• Translate customer requirements into scalable storage solutions while tracking competitive offerings and market trends.

Requirements

• Pre-sales experience and 5+ years of relevant experience across technology, design, and communications.
• Experience with enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software solutions.
• Strong knowledge of storage architectures, including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, and SAN.
• Experience with Linux, NFS file systems, distributed computing, VMware, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking.
• Knowledge of cloud-native architecture, on-premises and public cloud environments, provisioning automation, and containers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a technical degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Experience with Kubernetes, microservices, modern web architecture, and LAMP.
• Knowledge of storage-intensive applications, structured databases, SQL, or Oracle.
