Location: Leeds or Manchester, UK; hybrid working with at least two days per week or 40% of working time at a Leeds or Manchester office

Salary: £72,702–£80,780 per year

What you will do

• Analyze, build, and deliver enterprise-scale private cloud infrastructure systems.
• Work hands-on with storage technologies and contribute to the private cloud platform.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, engineering colleagues, and stakeholders up to executive level.
• Gather internal customer needs and contribute to product roadmaps and platform vision.
• Apply secure-by-design principles across security, automation, and engineering decisions.
• Identify infrastructure risks, define mitigation steps, and manage workload independently.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Storage Engineer in cloud environments.
• Expert knowledge of storage and SAN technologies, including Hitachi, Dell, IBM, NetApp, Brocade, and Cisco switches.
• Knowledge of SAN, NAS, VSAN, iSCSI, S3, block, file, and object storage.
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, networks, firewalls, and backup technologies.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, plus experience writing technical build documents.
• Experience with service build methodologies and large-scale data migrations.
