Private Cloud Infrastructure Specialist (Storage)

Location: Hybrid role based in the Leeds or Manchester office, with at least two days per week or 40% of working time onsite

Salary: £72,702–£80,780 per year

What you will do

• Analyze, build, and deliver high-quality private cloud infrastructure systems.
• Work hands-on with storage technologies and contribute specialist expertise to the Private Cloud Platform.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineering colleagues, internal customers, and stakeholders up to executive level.
• Contribute to product roadmaps, platform vision, security, automation, and engineering decisions.
• Apply secure-by-design principles and identify, articulate, and mitigate infrastructure risks.
• Use agile workflows and tools such as JIRA while independently managing workload and priorities.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Storage Engineer in cloud environments.
• Expert knowledge of Storage and SAN technologies and services, including Hitachi, Dell, IBM, NetApp, Brocade, and Cisco switches.
• Strong problem-solving skills and experience supporting storage technologies and tools.
• Experience writing technical build documents.
• Knowledge of SAN, NAS, VSAN, iSCSI, S3, Windows, Linux, networks, firewalls, backup technologies, and block, file, and object storage.
• Experience with service builds, associated methodologies, and large-scale data migrations.
