Senior Virtualization and Storage Engineer (London)

What you will do

• Own and maintain production virtualization platforms and enterprise storage solutions.
• Ensure system availability, performance, and efficient resource utilization.
• Research future virtualization and storage platforms, run proof-of-concepts, and define migration paths.
• Develop automation and tooling to improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Plan and execute virtualization and storage migrations with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• At least ten years of hands-on experience building and supporting production server virtualization platforms.
• Deep expertise in VMware, Hyper-V, or a KVM-based platform; experience with multiple platforms is a strong plus.
• Experience with enterprise storage systems, SAN technologies, storage protocols, and at least one software-defined storage platform.
• Experience with Python and PowerShell programming is required.
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently and lead complex initiatives.
• A degree in computer science or another technical discipline is preferred.
