Field Service Technician (Industrial Weighing Products)

Location: Columbus, Ohio, United States; must reside within the service territory. Customer-site field service is required, with overnight travel averaging up to 10% and potentially up to 25%.

What you will do

• Perform preventative maintenance and calibration on industrial floor and bench scales at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and support installations, projects, and repairs.
• Train end users on correct equipment operation and care.
• Document service work, update service records, and maintain data integrity using a company laptop and service software.
• Coordinate with scheduling, service support, sales, and other technicians to meet uptime and response-time expectations.
• Maintain the company vehicle and parts inventory while following safety and quality policies.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and a high school diploma/GED, or five years of relevant work experience.
• One to three years of electro-mechanical repair or weighing industry experience; customer-facing or field service experience is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical repairs, PC networking, and software configuration.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Class B CDL and a Weights and Measures license.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, plus the ability to learn proprietary service software.
• Ability to work overtime averaging 10–15%, lift up to 50 pounds frequently, work in hazardous environments, and use required protective equipment.
