What you will do

  • Conduct yield analysis and failure investigations to identify root causes and improve manufacturing yields and reliability.
  • Analyze end-of-line test data, process parameters, and electrical measurements using statistical tools and correlation calculations.
  • Develop advanced characterization and analysis techniques to improve the efficiency and precision of failure analysis.
  • Perform electrical failure analysis for complex yield limiters across product development and high-volume manufacturing.
  • Collaborate across teams to segment process, test marginality, and product operation issues.
  • Support process and defect characterization and accelerate failure identification and root-cause understanding.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or a related STEM field with 4+ years of relevant experience; or a master's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience; or a Ph.D. in a relevant field.
  • Experience with yield analysis, failure analysis, or process integration in semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of statistics and data analytics, including yield modeling, SPC, DOE, and correlation analysis.
  • Experience with wafer sort testing, defect metrology, E test, and/or fab data systems.
  • Ability to lead structured problem solving, influence without authority, and align stakeholders around data-backed conclusions.
  • Ability to work on-site in Phoenix, Arizona, United States.

Nice to have

  • Programming or scripting experience with Python, SQL, JMP, or similar tools for large-scale data analysis, machine learning, or AI.
  • Familiarity with defect metrology, inline monitoring, and yield excursion management.
  • Experience supporting NPI ramps and high-volume manufacturing yield sustainment in a factory environment.
