Principal Engineer - Integration Engineering (Semiconductor)

Location: Fully onsite in Essex Junction, Vermont, United States; Monday–Friday daytime schedule with occasional minor weekend coverage.

Salary: $85,000–$146,000 per year.

What you will do

• Own a semiconductor technology module and prioritize projects based on business needs.
• Delegate work across the extended module team and lead improvement experiments and hardware disposition.
• Sustain and improve manufacturing technologies by increasing yield, reducing defectivity, improving Cp/Cpk stability, and enhancing processing efficiency.
• Detect manufacturing line issues through data analysis and drive timely containment and resolution.
• Collaborate with device and process-module teams on new production technology development.
• Drive cost reductions through expense elimination, yield improvement, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering with 4–5 years of relevant experience; alternatively, an MS with 2–4 years or a PhD with 1–2 years of relevant experience.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Working knowledge of active and passive devices and semiconductor manufacturing methods.
• Structured problem-solving skills and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse teams, customers, and internal and external partners.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment and cleanroom attire as required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of R or Python.
• Laboratory or pre-professional experience in semiconductor processing.
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control and/or Design of Experiments.
• Previous internship or co-op experience in a semiconductor company.
