Engineering Manager, Fleet Engineering (Go/React)

Location: Livingston, NJ; New York, NY; Sunnyvale, CA; or Bellevue, WA

Salary: $165,000–$242,000 base salary per year, plus discretionary bonus, equity awards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead and grow a full-stack Fleet Engineering team through hiring, onboarding, career development, and performance management.
• Own product delivery end to end, including requirements, scope, prioritization, release planning, and predictable release cadences.
• Drive reliability and performance through observability, on-call operations, incident response, runbooks, and automated remediation.
• Lead maintenance and development of products for hardware ticketing, repair workflows, fleet operations, and inventory management.
• Set technical direction through design and architecture reviews covering APIs, data models, frontend architecture, security, and audit trails.
• Partner with Fleet Engineering teams and operations leadership on shared APIs, sources of truth, and cross-team dependencies.

Requirements

• Must work from one of the listed U.S. locations and satisfy applicable U.S. export-control access requirements.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 4+ years managing full-stack teams.
• Experience shipping and operating production web applications using TypeScript/React or comparable frontend technologies and Go or another compiled service language.
• Experience with requirements gathering, scoping, prioritization, release planning, availability targets, on-call rotations, and incident response.
• Technical depth in API contracts, data modeling, state management, horizontal scaling, security, and audit trails.
• Experience hiring, mentoring, and managing engineer performance, with a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with internal tools, workflow products, field-service platforms, or operational user interfaces.
• Experience integrating vendor APIs, Jira, and vendor support portals.
• Familiarity with data center operations, hardware lifecycle management, asset tracking, or DCIM tools.
• Experience with mobile-friendly or device-integrated web applications, including barcode or serial-number scanning.
• Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, VictoriaMetrics, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD practices.
