Senior Software Engineer, Pre Service Team (AI)

What you will do

• Build AI-based workflows that combine and interpret data from multiple extraction channels.
• Produce reliable answers for insurance eligibility, benefits, prior authorization, referrals, and patient cost estimates.
• Analyze production data to identify and fix accuracy gaps affecting real customer problems.
• Own features end-to-end, including requirements, implementation, testing, observability, rollout, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with the founder, product managers, designers, and engineers to make product and technical trade-offs.
• Build critical features with urgency and maintain high-quality, maintainable code.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience building complex backend systems.
• Strong Python skills.
• Fluency with AI-assisted development and agentic coding tools such as Claude Code.
• Passion for building and delivering exceptional products.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, Flask, SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
• Experience shipping LLM-based features to production.
• Healthcare experience with eligibility and benefits, revenue cycle, EDI/X12, clearinghouse, or EHR integrations.
