Staff Software Engineer - Product (AI)

hirify.global is building an autonomous AI team member for security operations, helping analysts secure and defend digital estates.

What you will do

• Own architecture, technical design, and delivery for a core area of the platform.
• Drive complex technical decisions and resolve ambiguous, high-risk engineering problems.
• Design and build production-grade AI systems spanning agents, LLMs, and retrieval-augmented generation.
• Lead mission-critical initiatives from problem framing through production delivery and iteration.
• Establish engineering standards, architectural patterns, and AI-native development practices.
• Mentor engineers and partner with product and design to align requirements and priorities.

Requirements

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience, including technical leadership or architecture ownership.
• Deep experience designing and scaling distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency in Go, Python, or another major backend language.
• Hands-on experience building or scaling production AI systems, preferably LLM-based, agentic, or retrieval-augmented.
• Ability to set technical direction and deliver complex, high-impact projects.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience taking high-impact products from concept to market at scale.
• Experience with AI product evaluation and reliability practices.
• Cybersecurity experience in SOC, SIEM, SOAR, EDR, XDR, or detection engineering.
• Early-stage or founding engineer experience at a fast-moving startup.
