Construction Manager (Healthcare Construction)

Location: Hybrid position based in Laguna Hills, California, with 20–30% travel throughout California.

Salary: $100,000–$130,000 annually, plus an annual bonus opportunity.

What you will do

• Lead tenant improvement and capital construction projects from initial planning through closeout.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, estimates, contracts, and overall execution.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, specialty vendors, tenants, and internal stakeholders.
• Conduct site visits, design review meetings, construction oversight, inspections, and project meetings.
• Review construction documents, specifications, proposals, bid packages, RFIs, submittals, change orders, punch lists, and closeout documentation.
• Build contractor and vendor networks while overseeing infrastructure, structural, and major garage improvement projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent education and professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience managing commercial construction, tenant improvement, healthcare, life sciences, or capital improvement projects.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, building systems, scheduling, estimating, and contract administration.
• Experience managing architects, engineers, general contractors, and subcontractors.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project budgets.
• Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and construction meeting leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience as an owner’s representative, landlord representative, project manager, superintendent, or construction manager.
• Working knowledge of building codes, permitting processes, and regulatory requirements.
